SPICY WATERMELON SALAD
INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PERSONS
100 g feta cheese
2 tablespoons salted almonds
1 small watermelon or half a large watermelon (well chilled!)
5 tablespoons liquid honey
1-2 teaspoons TOMAMI Ginger+Chili Hot Sauce
A fistful of rocket leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
Dice the feta and coarsely crush the salted almonds. Halve the melon, cut into 2 cm thick slices (this is best done with a bread knife). Peel and dice the flesh into bite-sized cubes.
Mix the honey, TOMAMI Ginger+Chili Hot Sauce and olive oil to make a marinade and briefly marinate the melon cubes. Arrange the melon cubes on a plate; sprinkle with feta and with the salted almonds and rocket leaves.
Tip: tastes good on its own as a cool and invigorating refreshment – also great with air-dried ham or grilled prawns.
