INSTRUCTIONS
Joe is an entrepreneur, foodie and has a lot to do with Tomami. He is passionate about cooking. You can’t go wrong with this divine chicken soup if you do everything right! In the USA, chicken soup is also called “Jewish penicillin”.
Joe spiced up the soup with Asian spices, ginger, chilli and shiitake mushrooms and boosted the whole dish by using Tomami. Place the whole chicken or chicken legs in cold water and turn on the heat. Add a generous amount of ginger, chillies, parsley root and garlic. Leave to simmer gently for about 45-60
minutes. Take out the chicken/chicken legs and remove the meat from the bones. If desired, sift the broth and remove the chilies, parsley and garlic.
Put the meat back in the saucepan with the stock. Add salt and pepper, the carrots, peas or other vegetables and simmer until they are firm to the bite. Just before the end of the cooking time, add the shiitake mushrooms and / or mushrooms.
Cook the rice or pasta/glass noodles separately. Put the rice or pasta into soup bowls and top up with soup, vegetables and mushrooms. If so desired, the mushrooms can be added uncooked. Garnish with chopped fresh coriander or parsley. Season to taste with TOMAMI #1 before serving.
TOMAMI is a wonderful alternative to soy sauce. Of course, you can also use one of the TOMAMI Seasoning Sauces, e.g. TOMAMI Hot India, or one of the Hot Sauces, such as TOMAMI Chili + Ginger.
