CURRY SAUSAGE WITH TOMAMI SAUCES

INGREDIENTS FOR 4 PERSONS

200 g chopped tomatoes (can or Tetra Pack)
2 tbsp. TOMAMI # 1
120 ml TOMAMI Ketchup (half of a 240 ml bottle)
2-3 tsp. TOMAMI Chili + Ginger Hot Sauce (or more depending on the desired
level of spiciness)
1 banana shallot
1 star anise
1 tsp. turmeric
2 tbsp. curry powder
2 tablespoons of Coca-Cola
2 tbsp. organic honey
½ tsp. piment d’espellete
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tablespoon of old balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons of olive oil
A little water

INSTRUCTIONS

Sauté the chopped shallots and turmeric in olive oil until transparent. Add the chopped tomatoes and TOMAMI Ketchup & Sauces and sauté; deglaze with a little water and add the balsamic vinegar, crumbled star anise, curry and honey and simmer on a low heat. The balsamic vinegar will not evaporate as quickly.

As soon as a viscous consistency is reached, add the soy sauce and Coca-Cola and season to taste with the remaining spices. Strain and keep warm. You can add more curry and TOMAMI Chili + Ginger Hot Sauce according to taste.

Serve on a plate with a good quality sausage or vegetarian sausage.
