Mac & Cheese & Tomami

Ingredients for 4 persons

• 2.5 cups of milk (550 ml)
• 2 cups of short macaroni (200 g)
• 1 cup cheddar, grated (100 g)
• 1/4 tsp. Dijon mustard
• 1/2 tbsp. Tomami Umami
• Pepper


Bring the milk and macaroni to the boil in a saucepan; simmer for about 20 minutes until the pasta is al dente. Stir regularly and ensure that the milk does not boil over. Remove the pan from the heat, add the cheddar, mustard and the Tomami Umami; stir and serve immediately – season with pepper.
For more creaminess add extra milk afterwards and stir. For more sharpness stir in 1/4 tsp. of Cayenne pepper. Vary the types of cheese to taste: cheddar cheese, alpine cheese, Gouda …
